Nitroprusside sodium dihydrate is a prescription antihypertensive/blood vessel dilating drug and is used in adults for the treatment of hypertensive crises and controlled blood pressure reduction during surgery. Nitroprusside Sodium Infusion Solution is not currently approved in Germany for the above treatments. The approval procedure of AraMed GmbH for this product is currently underway at the BfArm.
